PROMISE at Manchester

The University of Manchester is one of 12 organisations working on the PROMISE project, which brings together teams from across Europe to explore how young people today respond to conflict, and how this is perceived and managed by authorities. By focusing on young people’s experiences, values, actions and reactions, this project is aiming to get to the heart of barriers and opportunities for social inclusion.

PROMISE is seeking to explore young people’s role in shaping society, focusing specifically on young people ‘in conflict’ with authority. As a result, the PROMISE project will be working with stakeholders and practitioners working in policy-making and with young people with a deeper understanding of young people’s participation in social change.
